Detailed robot reviews
What stood out with each window cleaning robot
Specifications only tell part of the story. We tested each robot on real windows and glass surfaces to see how they actually handled dirt, movement, spraying and everyday use.
01
OVOX R8
OVOX R8 delivered the most balanced result in our testing. It cleaned everyday dirt well and was also able to handle stubborn marks when the cleaning cycle was repeated.
What we liked
Dual-nozzle spraying
The OVOX R8 uses a dual-nozzle spray system to evenly distribute cleaning solution while the microfiber cloth removes dirt. It sprays and wipes in one motion for faster, more effective cleaning.
Strong point
Simulated manual wiping
The robot mimics human hand movements with the right pressure and rhythm to tackle stubborn stains. During testing, it removed smudges and dried-on spots that many other models left behind.
What stood out

Two-Way Smart Spraying
Simulated Manual Wiping
Lightweight
No app

OVOX R8 VIDEO TEST
Getting started with the OVOX R8
The manufacturer provides a detailed video guide showing how to prepare, operate and use the OVOX R8.
02
HUTT W8
The Hutt W8 is a window cleaning robot with a dual-nozzle spray system that automatically adapts to the cleaning direction. Its wider, longer-bristled mops cover more surface area at once for efficient cleaning. The robot also comes with a transport bag, three quality cloths, and other useful accessories.
What we liked
Transport bag
The robot comes with a convenient, sturdy transport bag, in which the robot can be conveniently stored at home or transported to another place.
Things to consider
It took longer to launch
Starting to use the robot can be complicated. It takes about a minute to begin cleaning and frequently stops during operation, requiring the program to be restarted. The spray function and remote controls also respond with a noticeable delay.
What stood out
The robot covered the window very well, but its strong suction sometimes resulted in slower cleaning and visible streaks. The app was responsive once connected, although initial setup took some time.
Quality cloths
Transport bag
Streaks may remain
Delayed response

03
ECOVACS W2 OMNI
The ECOVACS W2 OMNI moved smoothly across the glass, reached the entire window area well and firmly attached itself to the surface. It also includes a water spray system and app control.
What we liked
Smooth movement
The robot moved smoothly across the entire window, reached corners and edges well and returned to its original position after completing the program.
Things to consider
Suction is too strong
The 5500 Pa suction provides a secure grip but creates more resistance, which can slow movement and press the cloth too firmly against the glass.
What stood out
The robot covered the window very well, but its strong suction sometimes resulted in slower cleaning and visible streaks. The app was responsive once connected, although initial setup took some time.
Smooth movement
App control
Suction is too strong
Poor quality cloths
Leave streaks

04
Mamibot W200
The Mamibot W200 feels solid and well built. It is rechargeable and wireless, making it useful for windows located away from convenient power outlets.
What we liked
Wireless operation
The rechargeable design allows the robot to operate without being continuously connected to a power outlet, reducing the need for long cables.
Things to consider
No water spray system
The robot does not automatically spray cleaning solution, so the window and cleaning cloth need to be moistened manually before use.
What stood out
Wireless operation is genuinely convenient, especially where power outlets are difficult to reach. However, the lack of an automatic spray system means more preparation is needed before every cleaning cycle.
Wireless
Solid construction
Heavy
No spray system
Limited battery safety

05
HUTT C65
The HUTT C65 moves smoothly across the glass and can reach window edges, but several cleaning and usability issues affected its overall performance.
What we liked
Smooth movement
The robot moved smoothly across the glass and was able to reach the edges of the cleaning surface.
Things to consider
Did not return to the starting point
After completing the program, the robot sometimes stopped in a different position, making it more difficult to remove when it finished high on the window.
What stood out
We also noticed water leaking from the unit after cleaning and occasional circular cloth marks on the glass. Connecting the app also took several attempts.
Smooth movement
App + remote
Water leakage
Didn’t return to start
Not ideal for large windows

OVOX R8
Best overall balance of cleaning performance, ease of use and practical features.
HUTT W8
Strong accessories and dual spray, but less consistent during testing.
ECOVACS W2 OMNI
Excellent navigation and good coverage, though suction was very strong.
Mamibot W200
Useful wireless operation, but the lack of a spray system limits convenience.
